Founded in 2001, Open Eye Solutions is owned and operated by Barry Woodley – who provides IT consulting to small and medium sized businesses throughout Surrey, Kent, Essex and Greater London.  Woodley is based out of his home office in Croydon and travels to the offices of his customers by car. 

Open Eye has experienced substantial growth over the past two years due to increased web presence and word of mouth.  Woodley would like to expand by opening a new office and taking on another employee, but fears the disruption it would bring to his business. Furthermore, after having two laptops stolen (resulting in the loss of a lucrative client), he is not ready to risk any damage to his reputation or customer-relationships.    

Mr Woodley recently came to Primus with the following objectives:

Solution:

Primus provided Mr Woodley with our Virtual IT package which includes the Microsoft Office software, as well as a Hosted Exchange email server.  The solution provides secure data storage and a fully functional Windows desktop available online from any PC.  Now when Barry takes a trip into Central London to see clients, he can easily pop onto one of their machines and access his full office desktop thereby reducing the risk of losing equipment and data to theft or disaster.

With his desktop stored at Primus’ data centre, Woodley can easily move office and take on an employee without incurring extensive costs.  Paying one monthly rate for this service means he can expand his company as demand dictates rather than finances and logistics.
